Baseball: A proposal at College World Series, and she says, ‘Yes’

Megan Bonds, the daughter of former Hart High quarterback Thomas Bonds and a Newport Harbor grad, was in the stands in Omaha on Wednesday night at the College World Series when her boyfriend, Vanderbilt pitcher Brian Miller, decided to propose after Vanderbilt’s 3-2 victory over Virginia.
She said yes.
The athletic trainer held on to the ring during the game.
The big question is what would have happened if Vanderbilt had lost.
“I don’t think I would have done it; I wanted it to be a really special moment,” Miller told the Omaha World-Herald. “This week has been super special regardless, but … well, I may have done it, actually. Her whole family is here and it was a great opportunity.”
