Pitchers continue to be baffled when it comes to figuring out how to stop Brice Turang, a freshman from Corona Santiago who’s the leadoff hitter for the unbeaten USA 15U national team.
He had three more hits on Friday to help the USA 15U team pull out a 5-4 win over Chinese Taipei in 10 innings at the 15U World Cup in Mexico. Royce Lewis of JSerra scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th.
Turang came in hitting .615 in seven games of the tournament.
The USA team is the lone unbeaten squad left. The gold medal game is Sunday.
