Basketball: All-star games set for Saturday

The Collision All-Star basketball games will be held on Saturday at Inglewood High matching City Section against the Southern Section. The girls’ game is at 4 p.m. and the boys’ game at 6 p.m.

Chaminade’s Valerie Higgins and Leaonna Odom are expected to play for the Southern Section, coached by the Eagles’ Kelli DiMuro. Palisades’ Torino Johnson is coaching the City Section.

Narbonne’s Anthony Hilliard is coaching the City Section in the boys’ game against Cathedral’s William Middlebrooks. Narbonne’s D’Mauria Jones and Jamal Hicks are playing for the City. Kobe Paras, a UCLA-bound senior who attends Cathedral, is scheduled to play for the Southern Section.

The War on the Floor senior all-star games will be held at 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Burbank Burroughs.

There’s also the Ballislife all-star game at 6 p.m. at Long Beach City College. Lonzo Ball of Chino Hills is playing.
