High school football fans in Southern California need to save the date of July 12 to head to Huntington Beach Edison for the best seven on seven passing tournament of the summer.
Coach Dave White has received commitments from 19 teams to participate, led by defending Open Division champion St. John Bosco and quarterback Josh Rosen.
It’s truly a field of champions, and although tackling won’t be permitted, there should be great athletes competing.
The field: Valencia, San Marcos Mission Hills, Santa Ana Mater Dei, Alemany, Santa Margarita, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, Westlake, Corona Centennial, Bishop Amat, Los Alamitos, JSerra, Glendora, Hart, Upland, Gardena Serra, Narbonne, Canyon Country Canyon, St. John Bosco, La Habra and Edison.
And if you don’t like the football, you can always bring out the surfboard and head to the beach not far away.
