Football: Agoura’s Sean Barr is Marmonte League MVP

Always count on the Marmonte Leauge coaches to have a lively, unpredictable all-league meeting. And 2013 was no different.

Running back Sean Barr of Agoura was selected the league MVP. The back of the year was quarterback Sean Dawkins of Oaks Christian. The offensive lineman of the year was Nick Capella of St. Bonaventure. The receiver of the year was Chris Davis of Oaks Christian. the co-defensive linemen of the year were Tyrone Faanono of Oaks Christian and Tyler Puccio of Moorpark. The linebacker of the year was Kaiden Mowery of Newbury Park. The defensive back of the year was Nick Julier of Thousand Oaks.

Westlake, which won the league title and defeated Oaks Christian and St. Bonaventure, received no individual awards. Also missing from the all-league team is Westlake all-state kicker Kevin Robledo, who made 11 of 13 field goals, and standout linebacker Quincy Bennett.
