Football: Desean Holmes’ return to Alemany means more speed
Alemany held a passing competition on Wednesday, and let’s just say that quarterbacl Blake Green has a beaming smile with the decision of receiver Desean Holmes to return to Alemany after attending Muir in the spring semester.
“Our quarterback is really excited,” Coach Dean Herrington said.
Holmes, a standout as a junior for Alemany, didn’t forget the plays, Herrington said.
“His recollection was great,” Herrington said. “He’s got an extra gear this year.”
Herrington intends to combine Holmes with receiver Brandon Pierce, who has run a 4.52 40-yard dash, and running back Dominic Davis, the fourth-place finisher in the state 100 meters.
“We’re going to spread them out,” Herrington said.
