Just in time for the start of Marmonte League play, Ventura St. Bonaventure got back its standout running back, Marcus Chambers, on Friday night. He broke his foot in the Seraphs’ opening game of the season.
Chambers rushed for 106 yards in 12 carries to help St. Bonaventure defeat Oaks Christian, 21-17.
His return couldn’t be more important. The Seraphs’ rushing attack had been inconsistent. Now they have a healthy Chambers for a showdown game on Thursday night against Westlake.
