Funeral is Tuesday for former Royal quarterback Shaun Christensen

A funeral will be held Tuesday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Simi Valley at 10 a.m. for former Simi Valley Royal quarterback Shaun Christensen, who died Feb. 3 after a series of health issues. He was 44.
Christensen, who graduated from Royal in 1987, was a mult-sport standout for the Highlanders. He accepted a football scholarship to Brigham Young but an injury cut short his career. He ended up playing soccer at Moorpark College and Westmont College.
