Softball: Mission Viejo’s Taylor McQuillin is Gatorade state player of the year
Junior pitcher Taylor McQuillin of Mission Viejo has been named the Gatorade state player of the year in softball.
The left-hander was 25-1 with an 0.72 ERA and pitched Mission Viejo to the Southern Section Division 2 championship. She struck out 299 batters in 164 2/3 innings with an 0.72 ERA and had four no-hitters, including two perfect games.
She is committed to Arizona. She also has a 3.97 GPA.
