Football: Tesoro is ready to challenge Mission Viejo

It’s time to separate the men from the boys.
South Coast League supremacy is on the line tonight when Mission Viejo hosts Tesoro at 7:30 p.m. in a highly-anticipated matchup between two of the best teams in Orange County.
Mission Viejo (7-0, 1-0), ranked fourth in the Southland by The Times, averages 50.5 points per game led by quarterback Ian Fieber, running back Alex Suchesk and receiver Sean Modster. Defensive end Michael Mathewes
Tesoro (6-1, 2-0) is playing hard for first-year coach Matt Poston and has won four straight behind senior running back Jon Rivera. The Titans were fourth in league and fell to Mission Viejo 55-32 last year under previous coach Brian Barnes.
