San Diego State wins 20 games for eighth straight year

at San Diego State 88, Nevada 75: Jamaal Franklin had 23 points and 11 rebounds as the Aztecs (20-7, 8-5 Mountain West) extended their school-record streak of 20-victory seasons to eight. Malik Story made seven of 13 three-point field goals in scoring a game-high 33 points for the Wolf Pack (12-14, 3-9).

Cal State Fullerton 63, at Texas A&M; Corpus Christi 57: Kwame Vaughn led all scorers with 18 points as the Titans (14-13) won back-to-back games for the first time since early January. Vaughn was 0 for 4 from the field in the first half, but made six of 11 shots in the second half. The Islanders (4-21) lost for the third time in a row.

UC Irvine 77, at Texas Arlington 70: Adam Folker and Will Davis II scored 16 points apiece and the Anteaters (16-13) won their fourth in row. Folker made seven of eight shots for Irvine, which shot 52% against the Mavericks (15-10), who were giving up the fourth-lowest opponent shooting percentage in Division I.

at Portland State 66, UC Riverside 58: The Vikings (8-16) used a 24-8 run in the final 12 minutes to rally past the Highlanders (6-21), who got 22 points from Chris Patton. Riverside outscored Portland State 36-20 in the paint but made only two of 14 three-point attempts.

at Southern Utah 73, Cal State Northridge 72: Jayson Cheesman scored 13 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and made the game-winning layup with 12 seconds left for the Thunderbirds (11-15). The Matadors (13-15) had two looks in the last four seconds, but Trevone Williams missed a jump shot and Stephen Maxwell (20 points) couldn’t put in the rebound.

at Cal Poly 63, Loyola Marymount 60: The Mustangs had made one of 17 three-point shots before Dylan Royer’s three-pointer with 0.7 of a second left handed the Lions (8-20) their second straight buzzer-beater loss and third since Feb. 4. “I am not sure I have seen anything like this,” LMU Coach Max Good said. Brian Bennett led all scorers with 23 points for the Mustangs (13-12). Anthony Ireland led the Lions with 19, scoring 16 in the first half.

at San Francisco 64, Pepperdine 58: Mark Tollefson scored 18 points and the Dons (13-15, 6-9 West Coast) came back in the second half to defeat the Waves (12-15, 4-10), who got 19 points from Nikolas Skouen.

Sacramento State 51, at UC Santa Barbara 50: The Hornets (13-12) rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to defeat the Gauchos (8-18).
