Ronny Turiaf contributes off the bench for Clippers

INDIANAPOLIS — Ronny Turiaf answered the call Thursday night when the Clippers were in need against the Indiana Pacers.

Lamar Odom had picked up his fourth foul in the fourth quarter and DeAndre Jordan was in the locker room dealing with a bloody nose during a large part of the second half.

All Turiaf did was play a season-high 21 minutes and provide the Clippers with five points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots.

“To me, whenever your name is called, you’ve got to be ready,” Turiaf said. “You know how I roll — rebound, defend, score easy baskets, make sure that the team is running very well on offense. I stay in [his teammates’] ears and make sure we focus on defense so that everybody is sharp.”

They’re back

After missing Tuesday night’s game against Charlotte at Staples Center, guards Eric Bledsoe and Jamal Crawford returned against the Pacers.

Bledsoe, who had a sore left calf, had seven points on three-for-four shooting. He also had three rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots.

He made his only three-pointer in the fourth quarter, giving the Clippers an 87-72 lead.

“I ain’t got no pain in it,” Bledsoe said about his calf. “I felt great.”

Crawford, who had gone to Seattle for the birth of his daughter (named London), scored 23 points against the Pacers.

He said he was overwhelmed by the love displayed by the entire Clippers organization.

“I was just happy that the whole organization texted me,” Crawford said. “I received 18 texts — everybody in the organization. The text I was happy with. Then next thing they sent a picture and everything.”

The Clippers sent a picture of the entire team, including players, coaches and training staff, to Crawford before the Charlotte game on Tuesday night with a message: “Show love all the way to London #Clip Fam.”

Chris Paul and Caron Butler held a handwritten sign that said, “Welcome to the Clippers family London!”

Barnes flagrant

Matt Barnes was given a flagrant foul 1 for his foul on David West and now has four flagrant foul points this season.

He has been called for two flagrant foul 1’s (worth one point each) and one flagrant 2 (two points).

If a player exceeds five points, he will get a one- or two-game suspension.

Jordan injured

Jordan suffered a bloody nose after he was hit in the third quarter. X-rays were negative and he will be reevaluated Friday in Cleveland.

Jordan returned to the game with 9:19 left in the fourth quarter. He finished with four points and one rebound in nine minutes.
