San Francisco 49ers’ Jim Harbaugh: Game ‘wasn’t our finest hour’

Colin Kaepernick had the first 10 starts of his career last season, and yet he typically plays like an elite, richly experienced quarterback.

Sunday night in Seattle, he looked more like a player with about a dozen starts. In the San Francisco 49ers’ 29-3 loss to the Seahawks, he completed 13 of 28 passes for 127 yards, with three passes intercepted and no touchdowns.

“We’re not going to win games if I play like that,” Kaepernick told reporters after the game, according to Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News.

“When we got down, you have to try to make plays. There were a couple balls where I tried to force in there, try to get something going.”

Coach Jim Harbaugh echoed that in speaking about the entire team.

“Well, certainly not proud of the way we played tonight, or coached,” Harbaugh said. “Wasn’t our finest hour.”
