Jordan Dockendorf swept, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles and Julie Onishenko didn’t lose a game at No. 2 singles to lead Dos Pueblos (12-2) past San Luis Obispo (10-2). Dos Pueblos has only lost to Division I powers Santa Barbara and Calabasas.

ACADEMY LEAGUE

Capistrano Valley Christian 10, Brethren Christian 8
Capri Ruiz and Chloe Manasse won their second doubles match, 6-1, to spur visiting Capistrano Valley Christian (2-7, 1-4) to its first league win. It was the first doubles match league victory of the year for the Eagles. Brethren Christian drops to 0-5 in league.

Fairmont Prep 12, Oxford Academy 6
Sophomore Bianca Aboubakare of Fairmont Prep, the defending Academy League singles champion, won by 6-1 scores over Laura Mlynar, Jill Sutherlin and Patty Lu, respectively, as the Huskies (9-0, 6-0) won a match over Oxford Academy (4-6, 1-3) at La Habra Tennis Center.

Aboubakare’s sister, freshman Carissa Aboubakare, also won her three sets, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, and Julie Luzar won, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1, as Fairmont Prep won all nine singles sets.

MISSION LEAGUE

Harvard-Westlake 18, Alemany 0
Natalie Zaledsky swept all three sets at No. 3 singles without losing a game for Harvard-Westlake (4-1, 2-0), which rotated out its top two singles players. Alemany falls to 1-5 overall.

OLYMPIC LEAGUE

Viewpoint 13, Crossroads 5
Freshman Samantha Yeung (21-6) swept at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-1, 6-1, to lead visiting Viewpoint (7-3, 3-1). The Patriots started five freshmen in all, including No. 1 doubles team Brittany Beisswanger and Farah Samarrai, who swept their matches, 7-6, 6-2, 6-0.

PREP LEAGUE

Buckley 11, Flintridge Prep 7
Visiting Flintridge Prep (3-9, 1-2) was forced to default three sets due to lack of players.

Jennifer Pan and Jennifer Young swept in doubles for the visiting Rams (7-4, 2-1).

Lynwood 13, Gahr 5
Gabby Gomez swept No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-2, 6-0, to lead host Lynwood (10-1, 4-0), ranked ninth in Division III.

Mallory Wang won her last two matches, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 1 singles for Gahr (8-2, 3-1).

Freshman Logan Hansen swept No. 1 singles for Brentwood (8-3). Senior Lauren Boyer and her younger sister, freshman Melissa Boyer, swept No. 1 doubles 6-4, 6-4, 6-1 for visiting Edison (7-6).

Nordhoff 13, Thacher 3
Katya Welborn swept at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1, 6-0, to lead visiting Nordhoff (5-4). Two sets were not played in the match due to darkness.

Santa Barbara 12, Northwood 6
The host Dons (9-1) won seven of nine doubles sets and posted the victory over the visiting Timberwolves. Santa Barbara’s No. 2 doubles team of Brooke Robertson and Bethany Miller posted a 7-6 win over Northwood’s No. 1 team and was 2-0 in the match, while the Dons’ top pair was 3-0.

Catherine Yoo swept in singles for Northwood, including a 6-4 win over Whitney Peterson, Santa Barbara’s No. 1 player.

Upland 9, Chaparral 9 (Upland wins 75-69 on games)
Amanda Donson and Juliann Tang swept 6-0, 6-2, 6-1, and Amanda Barnes and Alexa Ramos swept, 6-3, 6-2, 6-1, for Upland (10-1).

Chaparral came up short in total games despite impressive performances in singles. Nazlie Ghazal swept No. 1 singles at love and Brittney Lougher won, 6-3, 6-2, and 6-1, at No. 2 singles for the Pumas.

ALMONT LEAGUE

Schurr 9, Alhambra 9 (Schurr wins on games, 85-73)
With Alhambra winning 9-8, Schurr’s No. 2 team of Melissa Chan and Cindy Kim defeated Hong Lai and Lynn Chan, 7-6 (7-4) in the match-tying set of the of the last round to lead the Spartans to victory on games at Alhambra (7-6, 1-3).

Maranatha 11, Archer 7
Elizabeth Carpenter and Natalie McNall each swept at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, repectively, and Carla Yee won two of her three singles sets to lead Maranatha (8-0 in league) to the victory. Janice Yuen and Nicole Wood won two of three doubles sets for Maranatha.

Upland 14, Rancho Cucamonga 4
Singles players, Kelly Griffith, Mae Osias, and Lauren Saket, and doubles team of Amanda Donson and Julian Tang, all swept for Upland at Rancho Cucamonga. Upland is now 9-1 overall and 4-0 in league.

Mira Costa 18, West Torrance 0
Jennifer Wahba lost just one game in her three victories at No. 1 singles as Mira Costa (11-0, 3-0), ranked eighth in Division I, won at home.

Peninsula 17, Redondo 1
No. 1 singles player Tiffany Teerawatananont swept, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1, and No. 1 doubles team Cze-ja Tam and Sara Chang swept without losing a game for defending Div. 1 champion Peninsula (10-0, 3-0), which won its 33rd consecutive match and is ranked No. 1 in its division. Redondo drops to 9-2, 2-1.

Mallory Brady won three matches at No. 2 singles while the No. 1 doubles team of Marissa Carvahlo and Camilla Croxton won three matches for South Torrance (9-2, 1-2) at home. North Torrance is 2-6 overall and 0-3 in league.

The No. 2 doubles team of Jessica Cyrus and Tiffany Huang won three sets, 6-2, 6-1, 6-1, for host El Dorado (15-3, 2-2).

Dahra Zamudio swept her No. 3 singles events, 6-4, 6-1, 6-1, to lead host Villa Park (6-2, 4-0). El Modena is 9-2, 3-1.

Monika Marcinkevicius subbed in for No. 1 singles player Jordan Heitzner, who already won the first set, 6-0, to complete the sweep with 6-4, 6-0 wins for host Palm Desert (6-1, 2-0), which substituted liberally during the match in both singles and doubles. Betty Bastardi won two sets, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 2 singles and Julie Thorpe won, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 3 singles after taking a 6-3 loss for Palm Desert.

Freshman Taylor McLaughlin won three sets, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, for Garden Grove Pacifica (4-6, 3-3) at Santiago (3-4, 1-5).The Mariners’ No. 1 doubles team of Bo Suh and Pim Laohavanich also dropped only one game in winning three sets, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0.

Moorpark No. 1 player Michelle Dokic defeated Agoura’s Taylor French, 6-1, Blair Brzeski, 6-0, and Lauren Setar, 6-2, at Moorpark. The Musketeers’ No. 2 doubles team of Tracy Akashi and Jessica Dawson won three sets, 6-2, 6-2, 6-3, and the third doubles team of Chelsea Modlin and Kim Kolibas won, 6-3, 7-5, 6-2.

Mykala Hedberg swept at love and only dropped five points for Oxnard (6-3, 4-0), which also had Camille Whittingham and Maria Sanchez sweep, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 doubles. Hedberg did not lose a point in her final set. Hueneme falls to 0-9, 0-4.

Oxnard’s No. 3 doubles team of Fatima Sanchez and Ariel Bergthold won their three doubles matches as Oxnard (5-3) claimed six of nine in doubles to prevail at Ventura (6-4).

Peninsula 14, Beverly Hills 4
Peninsula, ranked No. 1 in Division I, improved to 8-0 for the season as it got sweeps at a number of positions in its victory at Beverly Hills.

Tania Mahtani won her three matches by scores of 6-2, 6-0 and 6-1 at No. 1 singles. The Panthers also got doubles sweeps by the teams of Emily Aston and Stephanie Chen, by scores of 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0 and Erica Schweyer and Paige Weber, who won 7-5, 6-1, 6-1.

Fairmont 11, Sage Hill 7
In a battle of top Division V teams, No. 4 Fairmont (8-0, 5-0) beat No. 2 Sage Hill (5-4, 3-1), the defending league champion, as sisters Bianca Aboubakare and Carissa Aboubakare swept at Nos. 1 and 2 singles.

Bianca Aboubakare, a sophomore, is the Academy League’s defending singles champion.

Sarah Flynn and Alle Hsu took two of three sets in No. 1 doubles for Sage Hill.

ALMONT LEAGUE

Keppel 13, Alhambra 5
Amber Marsden swept, 6-0, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 1 singles and the No. 1 doubles team of Lauren Maki and Lina King swept, 6-4, 6-2, 6-1, for Keppel (8-5, 2-1). Helen Tran and Maggie Szeto rebounded from a 6-4 loss to Maki and King to win their next two sets, 6-3, 6-2, for Alhambra (9-6, 1-2).

Schurr 11, San Gabriel 7
Sandi Chiu and Tiffany Kang swept their No. 1 and 2 singles events respectively and No. 1 doubles team of Cindy Ung and Enway Hsu also swept for visiting Schurr (7-2, 3-0).

Rachel Manasse swept at No.1 singles, 6-1, 6-1, 6-0, to lead host Mira Costa (9-0, 2-0), No. 8 in the Division I coaches’ poll. The Mustangs did not lose a set at doubles in the match.South Torrance drops to 7-2 overall.

Peninsula 17, West Torrance 1
Rika Tatsuno swept at love at No. 1 singles and Stephanie Chen and Melissa Jackson swept, 6-0, 6-0, 6-3, at No. 1 doubles for visiting Peninsula (7-0, 2-0), ranked No.1 in the Division I coaches’ poll. West Torrance is 4-8.

For the first time in several years tomorrow’s match up between the Panthers and Beverly Hills, the No.1 ranked team in Division IV, will not be a Bay League match. The Normans moved to the Ocean League prior to the season.

Lisa Hardebeck won three sets, 6-0, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 2 singles and Krista DeLille and Melinda Weiss swept in doubles for El Modena (9-1, 3-0) as the Vanguards won a key Century League match at El Dorado (13-3, 1-2).

Villa Park 12, Brea 6
Sherie Lawson swept her No. 2 singles sets, 6-1, 5-0, 6-2, and Dahra Zamudio swept her No. 1 singles sets to lead Villa Park (5-3, 3-0). Brea is 8-5, 0-3.

Nicole El-Ali and Lauren Navarro picked up the only victory for El Dorado (14-3, 1-2).

Lisha Wan swept her No. 1 singles events, 6-0, 6-2, 6-2, in the loss for visiting Ventura. Santa Barbara improves to 7-1, 2-0 in league.

Brittany Blalock swept three sets, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, as Palm Desert (5-1, 1-0) won eight of nine singles sets, including seven by 6-0 scores, in a Desert Mountain League opener at Palm Springs.

Blalock, the Aztecs’ No. 1 player, improves to 18-0 in sets for the season. No. 3 player Jordan Heitzner and the Aztecs’ No. 1 doubles team of Lauren Tokheim and Maddy Jacobs also won three sets each.

FOOTHILL LEAGUE

Hart 14, Burbank Burroughs 4
No. 1 singles Carolyn Horton swept, 6-3, 7-5, 6-2, and the No. 1 doubles team Kelly Weston and Shannon Doherty improved to 23-1 on the season with a sweep today for host Hart (2-6, 2-1). This is the third season that Weston and Doherty have been teamed up.

Cassie Strange and Alexa Strange each swept their singles sets and Alessandra Horii and Carissa Eisler swept their doubles sets for host Valencia (8-1, 2-0).

Burroughs drops to 2-3, 1-2.

Katrina Nguyen won three sets, 6-1, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 3 singles for Bolsa Grande (8-2, 4-2) in a Garden Grove League match at Garden Grove Santiago (4-7, 1-7).

Patty Lee won, 6-2, in a third-round set to give Garden Grove (6-4, 4-1) the decisive 10th set and the Argonauts won a match at Garden Grove Pacifica (2-3 in league).Lee, the Argonauts’ No. 3 singles player, won two of three sets on the day.

Garden Grove won six of nine sets in singles and four in doubles, where the No. 3 team of Amber Page and Bobillie Solomon won, 7-5, after trailing, 2-5, in a third-round set.
