Toros Yetenekian had 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead Glendale to its fourth straight win in Palm Desert.

The Inland Valley Conference-leading Vaqueros improved their record to 6-1 and 10-9 overall. They have won eight of their last nine games.

Billy Carr snapped his streak of 24 straight free throws on his first attempt, then hit five in a row on his way to 17 points for Glendale while John Hoffman had 16 points and Randy Alexander added 14.

Galen Smith led the Roadrunners, who fell to 4-3 and 11-9 overall, with 22 points. Mike Cox added 18.

Glendale shot 60% from the field--34 of 57--and an even better 12 of 14 from the line.

GIRLS Valley 56, Antelope Valley 45

Freshman Tina Johnson had 22 points and 23 rebounds to lead Valley over Antelope Valley in Mountain Valley Conference action.

Anita Rellas and Lisa Mason added 12 points each for Valley. Both teams are now 1-1 and 4-11 overall. Michelle Jennings, player of the week in the MVC last week, led Antelope Valley with 18 points and Lisa Geddes had 12.
