Breaking a 22-22 tie at halftime, El Camino Real Highwon its fourth game in five outings in the West Valley league. The Conquistadors are now 10-2 overall.
El Camino was plagued by turnovers in the first half, allowing Cleveland, 3-2 in the league, to keep pace with them over the first two periods. However, El Camino Real straightened out and outscored the Cavaliers by six in the last two periods.
Michelle Kirby, El Camino Real’s 6-2 junior center, had a productive game. She had 14 points, 14 rebounds and blocked five shots. Voviette Morgan had 13 points, 11 rebounds and a pair of steals.
Cleveland’s Kim Green had 18 points.
