Tina Johnson scored 27 points and had 17 rebounds to help Valley improve its record to 2-1 in the Mountain Valley Conference and 5-11 overall.
Sophomore forward Bernadette Engels had 28 points and Jeri Hill added 13 for Canyons, which fell to 0-3 in the MVC and 2-13 overall.
