Ventura County Community College trustees voted this week to postpone until Sept. 3 a decision on whether to grant a leave of absence to Oxnard College baseball Coach Jerry White.
White, who has led Oxnard to two consecutive Western State Conference titles, requested an unpaid teaching and coaching leave for the 1986 spring semester.
District trustees want an itinerary from White before their September meeting that details his professional plans during the leave, according to Ed Robings, president of Oxnard College.
