In the second quarter, Birmingham quarterback Kevin Zietz hit Hassan Gay down the left sideline for a 32-yard touchdown after Brave defensive end Aaron Kaplan recovered a fumble. . . . In the third quarter, Gay broke four tackles en route to a 66-yard scoring play on a pass from Zietz. . . . Gay dragged three Verdugo Hills men into the end zone for a score in the fourth quarter on a 30-yard pass after the ball was tipped by two Dons defenders. Verdugo Hills’ Russ Reinhard intercepted a pass on his 33-yard line and returned it 35 yards to the Birmingham 32.
