Contrera, Rowe Named Sea View Players of Year
University High School shortstop Al Contrera and Saddleback pitcher Jeff Rowe have been named the Sea View League’s Players of the Year in a vote of league baseball coaches.
Contrera, a senior, batted .456 for the league champion Trojans. Rowe, also a senior, had an 8-2 record with a 2.36 earned-run average for the Roadrunners, who finished second.
