Loara plays Pacifica and Los Amigos plays Steveston tonight in the championship semifinals of the Pacifica High School basketball tournament.
Loara advanced by beating Cantwell Wednesday in overtime, 53-51, on a 15-foot jump shot by Paul Plettinck with 30 seconds left. Pacifica beat Villa Park Wednesday, 74-55.
Los Amigos won its opening-round game over Troy, 66-60, and Steveston of Richmond, British Columbia, eliminated Savanna Wednesday, 48-36.
The first Fullerton Police Charity Golf Classic, benefiting the Fullerton Police Youth Athletic Fund, will be Jan. 26 at Los Coyotes Country Club in Buena Park.
Entry fee is $70, for green fees, golf cart and an awards dinner. Several prizes will be awarded to players, including a 1987 sports car for a hole-in-one.
