Junior right-hander Denny Vigo (2-0) pitched his second complete game of the year as El Camino Real (2-1) defeated Canoga Park, 9-0, in a West Valley League game. . . . Manny Orozco was 3 for 4 and scored 4 runs as San Fernando (3-0) buried Kennedy, 18-0, in a Mid-Valley League game. . . . Birmingham (2-1) pounded out 12 hits en route to a 10-6 Mid-Valley League victory over Granada Hills.

Burbank (6-1) committed five errors in the fourth inning in an 8-7 loss to San Gabriel in a Foothill League game. . . . Senior third baseman Jeff Antoon went 5 for 5 with two homers, hit for the cycle and had 7 RBIs but Notre Dame had to settle for an 11-11 tie with Bosco Tech in a Del Rey League game called after eight innings because of darkness. . . . Manny Colomes went 2 for 2 and knocked in all three runs in St. Francis’ 3-1 Del Rey League victory over Alemany (5-4). . . . Frank Charles was 4 for 6 with 7 RBIs and Montclair Prep (8-1) took advantage of 11 L.A. Lutheran errors to win its eighth straight game, 13-3.

Art Espinoza singled in Ken Garcia with the winning run in the top of the seventh inning to lead Rio Mesa (7-2) to a 4-2 Channel League victory over Oxnard. . . . Tom Dodson hit a two-run homer in the third to give Saugus a 4-3 Golden League win over Quartz Hill. Dodson’s homer came off loser Scott Weiss (3-1), who struck out 10. . . . Doug Marconet powered Chaminade to a 12-6 Santa Fe League victory over Pater Noster with a three-run homer in the second and a solo shot in the fifth. . . . Eric Martinez went 3 for 3, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs to lead Canyon to an 11-6 Golden League win over Palmdale.

Sophomore pitcher Rod Arenacibia struck out six and walked one to give Bell-Jeff a 3-1 Santa Fe League victory over Cathedral. . . . Chris Johnson struck out 15 batters as Village Christian defeated Marshall Fundamental, 5-2, in an Alpha League game. . . . Mike Rohrbough pitched his first complete game of the year as St. Genevieve (2-6) defeated Salesian, 2-1, in a Santa Fe League game.
