Share

David Holdridge hit his ninth home run, a solo shot in the third inning, and Dan Naulty pitched a four-hitter through six innings to lead Ocean View High School to a 3-1 Sunset League victory at Fountain Valley.

An intentional walk to Holdridge resulted in two first-inning runs, so Fountain Valley decided to pitch to him in the third, when he hit a towering home run to left field.

Fountain Valley (4-7, 8-10) rallied in the bottom of the seventh. After Naulty (7-1) left with runners on first and second, Mike Fyhrie struck out the side to earn his fifth save for Ocean View (10-1, 16-4).
