Playoff Pairings Set in Tennis

Two of the Southern Section’s top-seeded tennis teams have first-round byes in the first round of the playoffs, which begin Tuesday.

All matches begin at 3:15 p.m.

University has a bye in 5-A; Dana Hills has a bye in 4-A. Los Alamitos plays host to Santiago in 3-A, and Valencia plays host to Walnut in 2-A.

In 5-A, Newport Harbor plays at Santa Monica and Corona Del Mar is at South Torrance.

In 4-A, Marina plays host to Villa Park, Foothill plays host to Fountain Valley, El Toro plays at Riverside Poly, Muir is at Edison, Canyon is at Capistrano Valley, Servite is at Redlands and Mater Dei is at Nordoff.

In 3-A, third-seeded Los Amigos plays host to Burbank, Sunny Hills plays host to Laguna Hills, Cerritos is at La Quinta, El Dorado is at Laguna Beach, Woodbridge plays host to La Canada, Sonora is at Claremont and Esperanza plays host to Fullerton.

In 2-A, Brea-Olinda is at Glenn and Magnolia plays host to El Rancho.
