Bobby Schwartz Wins Speedway’s Scratch Main Event

Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa won the four-lap scratch main event of the weekly speedway motorcycle racing Friday night in front of 3,548 spectators at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.
It was Schwartz’s 14th scratch main event victory at Costa Mesa.
Mike Faria of Colton was second and Gary Hicks of Glenavon third.
Shawn McConnell of Brea won the eight-lap handicap main event. Walt Farnum of Ventura was second, Hicks third and Faria fourth.
Shane Diirello of Huntington Beach was the support-class winner.
