Share

It has taken two months and almost 20 playoff matches for the Southern Section to determine what the Marmonte League knew all along--when it comes to girls volleyball in the 2-A Division, nobody can beat Ventura County volleyball.

Three of the four teams playing in tonight’s semifinal round of the playoffs are from the Marmonte League.

Thousand Oaks, the Marmonte champion and top-ranked team in the division, plays Atascadero at Newbury Park High. Royal and Newbury Park, which finished second and third in league play and are ranked No. 2 and No. 3 in the division, play at Westlake High.
