Three Cheers for Post-Game Rallies

Share

This is a healthy activity for our high school students. Obviously, because of the number of youths who attend, there is a need for this type of activity. This need is not being met by the Long Beach Unified School District, the City of Long Beach or the private sector. Long Beach has no place that welcomes teen-agers for evening activities that are wholesome, spirited and substance-abuse free.

I know that it is extremely difficult to force teen-agers to do anything they do not want to do. These teen-agers are going to 5th Quarter / The Door rallies because they like what is happening.

My concern is that 5th Quarter / The Door ends with the end of league football play.
