Marinovich to Receive Touchdown Club Honor
Todd Marinovich of Capistrano Valley High School, national passing record holder, will receive the Dial Award as the nation’s top high school football player Saturday, Jan. 23, at the 53rd awards ceremony of the Touchdown Club in Washington.
Marinovich was selected by a panel of coaches, recruiters and sportswriters to receive the award that was introduced in 1979.
Marinovich set a national career passing record by throwing for 9,165 yards in four seasons. He also passed for 73 touchdowns in his career.
