High School Baseball : Burrill Powers Hart to El Segundo Title
Hart High pounded four Millikan pitchers for 12 hits, including a grand slam by Casey Burrill, to claim the championship of the El Segundo tournament with a 14-6 win Saturday night at Recreation Park in El Segundo.
Burrill rifled Millikan starter Bob Crane’s 3-1 fastball to cap a five-run second inning.
Hart starter Jason Edwards (3-0) was tagged for 11 hits in 5 innings but pitched out of several jams, including a bases-loaded situation in the fourth inning.
