Pitcher Mike Wilson, who compiled a 10-2 record and had 4 saves for La Quinta High School, heads the list of selections for the South team that will compete in the 21st Orange County All-Star baseball game June 14 in Anaheim’s Glover Stadium.

Wilson, a two-time player of the year in the Garden Grove League, has signed a letter of intent to play at Arizona.

Mater Dei, the top-ranked team in the county for most of the season, had three players selected by Coach Bob Flint of Irvine--outfielders Jim Austin and Greg Shockey and first baseman Joe Ciccarella.
