Burroughs 20, La Canada 10--Fullback Kevin Monaco rushed for 157 yards and 2 touchdowns in 13 carries as the Indians won a nonleague game at La Canada.
Monaco scored on runs of 19 and 9 yards as Burroughs (2-1) took a 14-0 lead 1:04 into the second half. Monaco also had a 61-yard run on the game’s second play.
La Canada (1-2) scored on two of its first three possessions in the second half to close to within 14-10. But Burroughs running back Andre Bank scored on a 13-yard sweep with 4:18 left to seal the victory.
