PREP BASKETBALL : Girls’ Basketball Roundup : Jalewalia Scores 41 in La Quinta’s Victory
Amy Jalewalia scored 41 points, pulled down 7 rebounds and had 8 steals to lead La Quinta High School’s girls’ basketball team to a 67-16 Garden Grove League victory over Los Amigos Friday at Los Amigos.
La Quinta (12-3 overall, 6-0 in league play), the sixth-ranked team in the Southern Section 3-A, was helped by Heather Brannan (10 points, 9 rebounds) and Tanya Krill (10 points, 8 rebounds).
La Quinta, which led, 22-2, in the first quarter, has 31 consecutive victories in Garden Grove League play.

Santiago 36, Bolsa Grande 17--Robin Caires had 18 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists to lead Santiago (5-7, 2-3) at Bolsa Grande. Jennifer Tracy had 24 rebounds for Bolsa Grande (2-3 in league).
