Santa Paula Hires Basketball Coach
Tom Donahue has been hired as the boys’ basketball coach at Santa Paula High, Principal Bob Fisher announced Wednesday.
Donahue, who replaces Chuck Yunker, coached at Northampton (Pa.) High the past five seasons. He was honored as the coach of the year by the East Pennsylvania Coaches Assn. for the 1986-87 and ‘89-90 seasons.
From 1982-83, Donahue coached at Hazelton (Pa.) High, which won the District II 4-A Division title in 1983-84 and in 1984-85. Donahue was coach of the year in the Wyoming Valley Conference in 1982-83 and 1984-85.
