Manny Zerman of San Diego advanced to the match-play final of the U.S. Amateur tournament at the par-72, 7,064-yard Honors Course at Ooltewah, Tenn. Zerman defeated David Duval of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., 4 and 3 in the quarterfinals then beat Dicky Pride of Tuscaloosa, Ala., in 19 holes during the semifinal round. Zerman will face Mitch Voges of Simi Valley, who knocked off Bryan Pemberton of Dublin, 6 and 5 in the semis.
