Ryan Fien threw four touchdown passes and tailback Mike Streeter had 199 total yards to lead undefeated Royal High to a 30-0 victory over Camarillo in a Marmonte League game Friday night at Moorpark College.
On the game’s first play from scrimmage, Camarillo tailback Fahali Campbell fumbled and Royal lineman Carlos Gonzales recovered at the Scorpion 29-yard line to set up Fien’s first touchdown--a 29-yard screen pass to Damian Geib.
After a Royal safety, Fien connected on a four-yard scoring pass to Gonzales--who had lined up at tight end--to give Royal (7-0, 4-0 in league play) a 16-0 lead late in the first quarter. Fien hit Streeter with a 63-yard bomb with 58 seconds left in the first half to give the Highlanders a 23-0 lead at halftime.
Wide receiver Ryan Campbell caught Fien’s last touchdown pass--a 57-yard bomb on the second play of the second half--to complete the scoring.
Fien finished with 194 yards passing, connecting on nine of 13 passes, including eight in a row at one stretch.
Streeter rushed for a game-high 107 yards in 11 carries, and had five receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown.
The Highlanders held Camarillo (4-3, 2-2) to 159 yards. Campbell was held to 47 yards in 13 carries.
