NET LOSS: Cal State Fullerton women’s volleyball coach Jim Huffman hopes to spike the school’s plan to drop the sport. . . . “There are more women than men at the school, and the men currently get 200% more funding,” says lawyer J. Kirk Boyd, hired by Huffman. State law requires equal participation and money for men’s and women’s sports, Boyd says, and dropping women’s volleyball “will just make the disparity worse.” Boyd hopes to persuade a judge to order the plans stopped at least temporarily.
