COLLEGE BASKETBALL PACIFIC 10 ROUNDUP : Arizona Rally Beats Oregon State
Sean Rooks helped fifth-ranked Arizona come from behind midway through the second half for a 70-62 Pacific 10 Conference victory over Oregon State Saturday at Corvallis, Ore.
The Wildcats (22-4 overall, 11-3 in the Pac-10) trailed, 54-51, with 9:39 remaining but took command by scoring 12 consecutive points, most on the inside. The 6-10 Rooks had six points in the run and 7-foot Ed Stokes added four.
Brent Barry had 18 points for Oregon State (14-14, 6-9).
Washington 76, California 74--Rich Manning scored 20 points and the Huskies held on to win despite four three-pointers by the Bears in the final 3:30 at Berkeley.
Washington (12-14, 5-10) beat Cal (8-16, 2-12) for the first time in six meetings dating to an 82-80 victory at Seattle during the 1988-89 season.
Lamond Murray had 20 points for Cal.
