How (and where) they’re doing: Three county quarterbacks, Tim Carey, Rob Petko and Justin Vedder, started their careers at Mater Dei but have found success elsewhere.

Carey completed 18 of 31 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns in Los Alamitos’ 21-9 victory over Marina.

Petko was four of seven for 84 yards and one touchdown in Valencia’s 38-21 victory over Villa Park.

Vedder was nine of 17 for 106 yards and ran for two touchdowns in Laguna Hills’ 21-14 victory over Santiago.
