Montclair Prep 26, Bloomington 23--Darrell Dent hit Kimo Atkins with a 24-yard touchdown pass with 1:54 to play to give the Mounties (2-0) the win at Valley College. Atkins then picked off an Eric Boynton pass in the final minute to preserve the victory.

Eliel Swinton gained 155 yards in 23 carries for Montclair Prep. His 27-yard run in the third quarter gave the Mounties an 18-9 lead. Running mate Wilbert Smith added 56 yards in eight carries and also caught a 39-yard scoring pass from Dent.
