Loyola 75, Notre Dame 71--Toby Bailey scored 21 points and his brother Moose added 15 as the Cubs won their third consecutive Mission League game at home Wednesday.

The Baileys made the all-tournament team at the Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Toby Bailey finished second to Felipe Lopez of Rice (N.Y.) in the tournament’s slam dunk contest. Pilgrim 71, Viewpoint 56--Gary Hackett’s nine points in the second quarter spearheaded an 18-2 run as the Patriots easily beat Viewpoint in a Heritage League game Wednesday. Hackett finished with 24 points. Belmont 76, Hollywood 51--The Sentinels scored 50 points in the second half to break open a close game in a Northern Conference contest Wednesday at Belmont. Senior center Jae Yun had 26 points and senior point guard Soon Hong added 25 to lead the Sentinels. Garfield 75, Locke 59--Guard Juan Concha scored 22 points in a Southeastern Conference win at home Wednesday.

Guard Jesus Fernandez chipped in 18 points for the Bulldogs. Ronald Smith led Locke with 14 points. Crenshaw 121, Hoover 50--Forwards Tremaine Fowlkes, who scored a game-high 33 points, and Kris Johnson, who added 27, accounted for nearly half of the Cougars’ points Tuesday in a nonleague home game.

Crenshaw has outscored Hoover, 213-83, in the two meetings between the schools this year.

Crenshaw’s 71-point margin of victory was the largest in school history. Verdugo Hills 78, Wilson 72--Chan Cornish scored 26 points on his birthday Tuesday as Verdugo Hills avenged an earlier loss to host Wilson in a Northern Conference game. Oscar Diaz had 26 points to lead the Mules. Cantwell-Sacred Heart 59, Salesian 38--Returning from a one-week suspension, center Erasmo Aldrete had eight points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots to lead Salesian in a nonleague game Tuesday at Salesian.
