Appeals filed by two former Faith Baptist High baseball players seeking athletic eligibility have been denied, it was announced Thursday.

The financial hardship petitions filed by Mike Jimenez and Chad Evanson, both of whom now attend Chatsworth, were first denied last week by the City Section Rules Committee.

Grace Strauther, a senior high schools division administrator with the Los Angeles Unified School District, heard appeals Wednesday and upheld the earlier decision.
