Whitlock came to Saddleback as a proven offensive player. He averaged 33.5 points as a senior at Loara High School and earned a scholarship to Arizona State. But things didn’t work out, and he returned to enroll at Saddleback. Whitlock has shown his typical offensive skills, averaging a team-high 19 points. He scored 29 points, including Saddleback’s first 16, in the second half of the Gauchos’ 83-70 victory over Golden West last Wednesday. He came back to score 25 as Saddleback beat Orange Coast, 70-52, Friday.

* Adam Baker averaged 24.5 points in two games, including scoring 34 in Cypress’ 96-91 loss to Irvine Valley Wednesday.
