St. Francis 33, Verdugo Hills 0--Three interceptions by Jonathan Jones sparked the Golden Knights (2-0) at St. Francis High. Two of the interceptions came inside the Verdugo Hills 20.

St. Francis quarterback John Carnevali completed nine of 15 for 142 yards, including two first-half touchdowns. He completed passes to six receivers, including a 21-yard touchdown strike to sophomore Matt Blaney.

For Verdugo Hills (1-1), Sean Standley rushed for 125 yards in 15 carries.

Darin Maxwell rushed eight times for 32 yards. Junior Robert Milton rushed 12 times for 47 yards, including touchdowns of three and two yards.
