Chatsworth Quarterback Makes Return Trip From Taft

Share

Travis Winn, a junior quarterback who was at the center of recruiting allegations by Chatsworth High after he transferred to Taft last spring, has transferred back to Chatsworth.

He will be eligible to play Sept. 29 when Chatsworth plays Taft, Coach Myron Gibford said.

Winn was starting quarterback on the Chatsworth frosh-soph team that finished 10-0 last year and was coached by John Brown.

When Brown joined the Taft coaching staff last spring, Chatsworth officials accused him of recruiting players, including Winn. Brown was cleared of charges after a City Section investigation. Brown left the Taft program two weeks ago for personal reasons.
