Pasadena Muir running back Michael Graham did not play in the Mustangs’ 43-13 loss to Los Alamitos last Friday night after repeatedly being late for practice. Muir Coach Michael Harrison said Graham’s suspension is over, but he will not play against Paramount on Friday because of what Harrison said were “medical reasons.” However, a source at Muir says that he has become discouraged with his play and simply stopped coming to practice. . . . Nogales is known for producing standout running backs, and the Nobles have two good ones in Demetrius Stampley and Kenya Dorsey. In Nogales’ 26-14 victory over Pasadena on Saturday, Lampley rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns, and Dorsey rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown. . . . Chino Hills Ayala defeated Los Altos, 13-11, in the championship game of the Walnut water polo tournament Saturday. Ayala was led by Brad Durbin, who averaged five goals per game, and the goalie play of James Beckman, who had 27 saves. Walnut defeated West Covina, 18-10, for third place. . . . Jennifer Burris of Ayala, Nancy Zhang of Rowland and Gabryela Hernandez of West Covina finished 1-2-3 in the All-Sierra League Cross-Country meet last Thursday.
