Jon Nielson, a senior from Cerritos, passed for 517 yards and seven touchdowns as Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (2-4, 1-2) rolled to a 51-13 victory over Occidental (1-5, 0-3) Saturday in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Assn. game at Claremont. Nielson completed 27 of 38 passes.

Anthony Jones rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns to lead La Verne (6-0) to a 51-17 nonconference victory over Azusa Pacific at La Verne. . . . Fredrick Nanhed rushed for 218 yards and scored one of Cal Lutheran’s three first-quarter touchdowns in a 42-0 SCIAC victory over Whittier College at Thousand Oaks. Cal Lutheran (3-2-1, 3-0) had 337 rushing yards. . . . Jack Ramirez passed for five touchdowns as Pomona-Pitzer (4-3) recorded a 56-15 nonconference victory over Menlo College (0-7) at Claremont. . . .
