Ex-Burbank Player Now Set for Burroughs Lineup

Steve Docherty, a member of the Burbank High football team the first five weeks of the season who has enrolled at Burroughs, is scheduled to play tonight.
The Indians play host to Valencia at 7:30.
Docherty, a junior tight end, withdrew from Burbank in midseason because he was living in North Hollywood and his participation was in violation of Southern Section eligibility rules, Burroughs Coach Robert dos Remedios said. Burbank (0-7) lost all four games in which Docherty played.
Docherty, whose eligibility at Burbank was the subject of an investigation, since has moved.
“He made a legal move into our boundary. We’re happy to have him and he’s excited to play,” dos Remedios said.
