Collins Selected to ‘Super Team’

Center Jason Collins of Harvard-Westlake High has been selected to the Southern Section’s 10-player “Super Team” in boys’ basketball.

The 6-foot-11 junior was one of two players to make the all-division team for the second year in a row. The other was forward Corey Benjamin of Fontana.

Collins averaged 18.2 points, 11.9 rebounds and 3.1 blocked shots to lead the Wolverines (30-2) to the state Division III championship. He also was The Times’ Valley Player of the Year.
