In other Orange Empire Conference baseball games:

Saddleback 6, Orange Coast 2--Chad Wanders pitched an eight-hitter for visiting Saddleback (20-10-1, 9-6). Jon Lauderdale hit a home run, his eighth, for the Gauchos, who remained in a second place tie with Rancho Santiago.

Paul Day of Saddleback had his school-record 19-game hitting streak stopped. Forest Long had three hits and drove in a run for OCC.

Rancho Santiago 9, Golden West 7--Derek Baker had two hits, including his 13th home run, drove in two and scored four times for visiting Rancho Santiago (25-8, 9-6). Ryan Fullerton had a hit and drove in three runs for Rancho Santiago.

Ken Sundstrom had a double, a triple and drove in five runs for Golden West (13-17, 4-11).

In the Orange Empire women’s tennis:

Saddleback 9, Orange Coast 0--Gabi Rios won at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-2, as Saddleback (15-2, 9-1) secured a first place tie in the conference with Fullerton, which had already completed its season. Teammate Marie Hosoi also swept, 6-1, 6-2.

In the Orange Empire Conference men’s tennis:

Saddleback 9, Orange Coast 0--Keith Springer defeated Orange Coast’s Robert Intriago, 6-2, 6-3, as Saddleback finished undefeated in conference play, 12-0.
