Yon Yim, a sophomore from Woodbridge High who predicted to her coach, Tracy Roberts, that she would win the Southern Section individual girls’ title, did so by shooting four-under 68 Monday at Mission Lakes Country Club in Desert Hot Springs.

Roberts made a hole-in-one last week and Yim said afterward she would top him by winning the title, Roberts said.

She started on the back nine and shot one-over 38, but birdied the first four holes of the front nine. She then made four consecutive pars and finished with another birdie.
